Dr. Kimberly Skyles

Originally from Southern California, Dr. Skyles completed her bachelor of science degree in Biopsychology at UC Santa Barbara. After conducting research in retinal biology at UCSB’s Neuroscience Research Institute, she became interested in the functions of the eye and how they relate to vision. From there she found her rewarding career in Optometry and has been captivated by it ever since.

A recent graduate from Southern California College of Optometry, Dr. Skyles honed her skills during her optometric training where she learned the importance of maintaining healthy eyes and proper visual development. Dr. Skyles gained further expertise in ocular diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration during her rotation at the VA Southern Nevada Health System in Las Vegas, Nevada, in children’s eye care during her rotations at a pediatric private practice in Boise, Idaho, and in co-management of cataract and LASIK surgeries at Mid Florida Eye Center in Orlando, Florida. She is now relocated to the Seattle/Eastside and is looking forward to taking care of her patients.

In her spare time, Dr. Skyles enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring the hiking trails and parks of the Northwest with her fiancé and 8 year old black lab, as well as ballroom dancing and playing the piano. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish.
